The Washington Wizards offered Russell Westbrook a two-year contract this offseason, according to Marc Stein. Westbrook, who recently announced his retirement, had also received an offer from the Kings. Stein noted that Westbrook may have disagreed with the Wizards’ offer or his potential role, prompting his decision to retire. The Wizards are now focusing on acquiring DeMar DeRozan, who is also being pursued by the Heat and Nuggets.
