Rui Hachimura has been named to Japan’s 17-player roster for the FIBA Basketball 2027 World Cup Asian qualifiers, alongside Yuki Kawamura, who recently signed an Exhibit 10 deal with the Clippers, and former NBA player Yuta Watanabe. The qualifying window begins in late August, with Japan set to play against Saudi Arabia on August 28 and Qatar on August 31. Hachimura, who joined the Clippers this offseason, averaged 11.5 points and 3.3 rebounds with the Lakers last year.
