Freddie Freeman, the Los Angeles Dodgers’ first baseman, avoided serious injury after falling down the stairs into the visitors’ dugout while attempting to catch a foul ball. Although he experienced soreness in various parts of his body, he remained in good spirits and finished the game, which the Dodgers won 4-2 against the Kansas City Royals. Freeman is unsure if he will play in the upcoming series against the Milwaukee Brewers but is relieved to have escaped without broken bones. He misjudged the dugout railing’s location, recalling a similar incident from his past with the Atlanta Braves.
