Haywood Highsmith has been waived by the Phoenix Suns, who partially guaranteed $1 million of his $3 million contract for the 2026-27 season. Last season, he played seven games for the Suns, averaging 5.4 points and 1.9 rebounds in 13.0 minutes after signing with the team in February post his release by the Brooklyn Nets. Highsmith underwent knee surgery in the 2025 offseason and previously averaged 6.4 points, 3.4 rebounds, and 1.5 assists in 74 games for the Miami Heat during the 2024-25 season.
