New York Knicks second-round pick Tyler Nickel is set to join the team for the upcoming season instead of returning to college, as reported by Ian Begley of SNY. Selected with the No. 47 pick in June, Nickel played four years at North Carolina, Virginia Tech, and Vanderbilt. He was part of the 2022 class granted a fifth year of eligibility after a recent ruling. In Summer League, Nickel averaged 12.2 points while shooting 41.3% from three-point range.
