Kawhi Leonard believes his trade to the Toronto Raptors will be finalized before training camp, despite the deal being on hold due to the NBA’s investigation into the Los Angeles Clippers. The Raptors agreed to trade Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, two first-round picks, and a pick swap for Leonard, but paused the deal pending the investigation’s outcome. Leonard’s agent has been in contact with the NBA Players Association throughout the process, and Leonard anticipates completing the trade to negotiate a multiyear extension with the Raptors. NBA Commissioner Adam Silver has not given a specific timeline for the investigation’s resolution.
