The Bears are hopeful that wide receiver Luther Burden will be ready to play in their Week One matchup against the Panthers, despite suffering a groin injury that may sideline him for about a month. With the regular-season opener on September 13, there’s optimism he could return in time. Burden had a successful rookie season with 47 receptions, and Bears head coach Ben Johnson anticipates a significant Year Two for him. Although the injury will prevent him from participating in preseason activities, it is not expected to hinder his season debut.
