Billy Amick, acquired by the Mets from the Twins in the A.J. Minter deal, is making a strong impression in the organization with his power-hitting abilities. Since joining Binghamton, he has hit five home runs in his first seven games, driving in 13 runs and achieving a 1.387 OPS. Amick, known as “Billy Barrels,” has 28 home runs this season, ranking him among the top-10 minor leaguers, despite some strikeout concerns. His progress will be interesting to monitor as he advances through the system.
