New York Mets pitching prospect Jonah Tong struggled in his latest outing for Triple-A Syracuse, allowing five home runs, including three consecutive, in five innings against Columbus. Despite starting strong with a quick first inning and two perfect innings, Tong faltered in the third, ultimately finishing with a line of 5.0 IP, 6 ER, and a rising Triple-A ERA of 5.46. This performance ended a three-game stretch where he had allowed just three runs over 14 2/3 innings. Since returning to the International League, Tong has given up 33 runs and 12 home runs across 10 starts.
