The New York Jets have waived defensive lineman Eric Watts with an injury designation and also waived defensive back Keidron Smith, according to Zack Rosenblatt. Watts, who signed as an undrafted free agent from Connecticut, played four games with one start in 2025, recording ten tackles. The team is filling one of the open roster spots with defensive tackle Patrick Jenkins. Watts previously made the active roster after being re-signed from the practice squad.
