Former Cy Young Award winner Trevor Bauer criticized the Los Angeles Dodgers as “a bunch of snakes” for their treatment of him after he faced sexual assault allegations in 2021, which did not lead to criminal charges. Although he initially received support from the team, including a hug from manager Dave Roberts, Bauer was ultimately suspended for 194 games under MLB’s domestic violence policy and released in January 2023. He has since played in various leagues, including Japan and Mexico, and doubts a return to MLB is possible. Bauer expressed disdain for the Dodgers’ front office, stating he wishes them “nothing but the worst.”
