The Athletics have selected the contract of infielder Jonathan Ornelas, as previously reported by MLBTR. To make room on the active roster, outfielder Colby Thomas has been optioned to Triple-A Las Vegas. Additionally, right-hander Chen Zhong-Ao Zhuang has been designated for assignment to accommodate a 40-man roster move. More to come.
