Josh Sweat, the Arizona Cardinals’ outside linebacker, was involved in trade discussions during the offseason and missed the voluntary program, opting to train independently. His placement on the active/physically unable to perform list at the start of training camp raised questions, but coach Mike LaFleur clarified it was for a proper ramp-up, not due to discontent. LaFleur emphasized that Sweat has been in contact with the team and is focused on maintaining his health for the upcoming season. Last season, Sweat achieved a career-high 12 sacks, leading the team.
