Chad Tracy has stepped into the role of interim manager for the Boston Red Sox, mirroring his father Jim Tracy’s successful 2009 turnaround with the Colorado Rockies. After Alex Cora’s dismissal, the Red Sox, initially 14 games under .500, have won 19 of 21 games, including a 14-game win streak. Jim Tracy’s Rockies went on to clinch a Wild Card spot and he won the Manager of the Year award. Currently, the Red Sox’s playoff chances have surged to 75.7%, and they aim for their 15th straight win against Baltimore.
