The Egyptian footballer Mo Salah has decided to join Turkish club Besiktas after agreeing to terminate his £400k per week contract at Liverpool a year early. Despite receiving lucrative offers from Saudi Arabian teams, including a €20m per year contract, Salah opted for a move to Europe, valuing the opportunity to play in Turkey. He will reportedly earn around £10m per year, significantly less than his previous salary. Besiktas is expected to finalize the signing soon, amidst their upcoming Europa League qualifiers.
