The Dallas Mavericks have signed Jett Howard to a two-way contract, waiving Tyler Smith to make room on the roster. Last season, Howard played 55 games for the Orlando Magic, averaging 5.5 points and 1.6 rebounds, and was the 11th overall pick in the 2023 NBA draft. The Magic declined his fourth-year option last October, leading to his unrestricted free agency. Smith appeared in 12 games for the Mavericks, averaging 4.7 points and 2.8 rebounds.
