New York Yankees outfielder Cody Bellinger was named the Ted Williams All-Star Game MVP after the American League’s 4-0 victory in the 96th Midsummer Classic. He contributed a two-RBI single in the first inning, finishing the game 1-for-3 with two RBIs. Bellinger, who turned 31 on the day of the game, is the fourth Yankees player to earn this honor and the sixth player ever to hold a Rookie of the Year, regular-season MVP, Gold Glove, Silver Slugger, and All-Star Game MVP. This was his third All-Star appearance, having had a strong season with a .254 average, 11 homers, and 51 RBIs.
