Toledo managed just one hit in the series finale, losing 5-0 and finishing the week 2-4. Indianapolis’ Connor Wietgrefe retired the first 13 batters and didn’t allow another baserunner, while Sawyer Gipson-Long took the loss for Toledo after giving up five runs (four earned). The Mud Hens’ bullpen pitched three perfect innings, but the offense struggled, with Brett Callahan’s fifth-inning double being their only hit. Toledo will face the Gwinnett Stripers after the All-Star Break.
