Update: The Seattle Seahawks have confirmed that billionaire Vinod Khosla has reached an agreement to purchase the team for $9.6 billion, with his wife Neeru Khosla as the controlling owner. Khosla’s bid surpassed other contenders, including Aditya Mittal, and if finalized, it would mark one of the highest valuations for a sports franchise, just shy of the $10 billion Los Angeles Lakers sale. Previously valued at $6.59 billion, the Seahawks were put up for sale by the estate of Paul Allen, who directed the proceeds to charity following his passing in 2018.
