The Bruins will not be signing 2020 fifth-round pick Mason Langenbrunner, who is retiring from hockey at 23 without playing a professional game. The son of former NHLer Jamie Langenbrunner, he captained Harvard but produced modest offensive numbers throughout his collegiate career. Instead of pursuing pro hockey, he is leveraging his business degree as a partner in start-ups. Boston still has negotiations pending with goaltender Philip Svedebäck after failing to retain Langenbrunner and forward Oskar Jellvik, who signed in Sweden.
