Yordan Alvarez is having a standout season, recently hitting his 30th home run and 200th career home run, despite the Astros’ 7-3 loss to the Texas Rangers. His sixth-inning solo shot puts him just seven home runs shy of matching his single-season best of 37 from 2022. Alvarez reached 30 homers in only 96 games, second fastest in Astros history, trailing Jeff Bagwell’s 91 games in 1999. He is now on track to challenge Bagwell’s franchise record of 47 home runs in a season.
