The Giants have claimed defensive end C.J. Ravenell off waivers after he was cut from the Titans’ injured reserve list. The 26-year-old, who spent the previous season on the Ravens’ practice squad, has familiarity with the Giants’ new defensive coordinator Dennard Wilson, having played under him in Tennessee. In 14 games with the Titans last year, Ravenell recorded six tackles and one forced fumble. To accommodate his addition, the Giants waived cornerback Rico Payton, who primarily contributed on special teams.
