The Mets have acquired right-handed reliever Matt Seelinger from the Detroit Tigers for cash considerations. Seelinger, 31, is a career minor leaguer who has not yet pitched in the majors; he was a 28th-round pick in the 2017 MLB Draft. In 27 games at Triple-A Toledo this year, he has a 3.89 ERA and 49 strikeouts over 39.1 innings. Overall, he holds a 3.40 ERA in 65 Triple-A games and a 2.95 ERA in 133 Double-A games.
