Freddie Freeman, selected as the NL’s starting first baseman for his 10th All-Star game, contributed two runs and his 15th home run of the season. Yoshinobu Yamamoto also excelled, throwing seven scoreless innings with 10 strikeouts in honor of his second consecutive All-Star selection.
