The Buffalo Sabres have signed forward Conor Sheary and defenseman Dennis Gilbert to one-year contracts worth $850,000 each. Sheary, who previously played for the Sabres from 2018-20, contributed 18 points with the New York Rangers last season and will add veteran depth. Gilbert had limited playtime with the Ottawa Senators and spent most of the season in the AHL, but he previously played 25 games for the Sabres, contributing five assists.
