Before the 2023 MLB season, the New York Mets signed right-handed pitcher Kodai Senga to a five-year, $75 million contract. However, Senga’s performance has been disappointing; as of now, he is 0-6 this season and has not won a game in over a year. His last victory was on June 12, 2025, against the Washington Nationals, where he pitched 5 2/3 innings without allowing any runs. Since then, Senga has recorded nine losses in 15 starts.
