Former Pittsburgh Penguins defenseman Justin Schultz has joined the Seattle Kraken in a player development role following his retirement from professional hockey. Schultz played his last two NHL seasons with the Kraken before briefly signing with HC Lugano in Switzerland, where he retired after just eight games. Over his 12-year NHL career, he recorded 71 goals and 253 assists in 745 games, winning the Stanley Cup twice with the Penguins. Schultz’s tenure with the Penguins spanned five seasons, during which he achieved 113 points in 234 games.
