Francisco Lindor is set to begin a minor league rehab assignment with Double-A Binghamton on Friday after being on the injured list since April 23 due to a left calf strain. Manager Carlos Mendoza indicated that Lindor could return to the Mets lineup by early next week, depending on his performance in the rehab games. Additionally, Tyrone Taylor will also start a rehab assignment for Binghamton, recovering from a right hip flexor strain. This series will have a break until Saturday night due to a World Cup match nearby.
