The Atlanta Braves have acquired catcher Joey Bart from the Pittsburgh Pirates in exchange for right-handed pitcher Hunter Stratton, following the injury of backup Sean Murphy. Bart, who has a .259 batting average with two homers this season, was activated from his rehab assignment. To make room on the 40-man roster, fellow catcher Sandy León was designated for assignment. The Braves currently lead the NL East with a 46-27 record, despite a recent slump.
