Wheeler, 24, initially signed with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent from Howard after the 2024 draft but was waived due to an injury settlement. He later joined the New Orleans Saints’ practice squad briefly before spending the 2026 season with the UFL’s Louisville Kings, where he rushed for 371 yards and six touchdowns in nine games. Wheeler has yet to make an appearance in an NFL game.
