The Baltimore Orioles announced that utility player Weston Wilson has elected free agency after being designated for assignment to accommodate catcher Sam Huff. Wilson, who played primarily at third base, recorded a .231/.348/.333 batting line with one home run in 46 plate appearances during his two-month stint with the team. As he is out of options, the Orioles may seek to re-sign him on a minor league contract after both Adley Rutschman and Samuel Basallo returned from injury. Previously, Wilson had three seasons of MLB experience with the Philadelphia Phillies.
