Giants wide receiver Malik Nabers underwent surgery in October for a torn ACL and had a second surgery this offseason to remove scar tissue. General Manager Joe Schoen is optimistic that Nabers will be ready for the season opener against the Cowboys on September 13, stating he is “trending in the right direction.” Although Nabers is not currently practicing, offensive coordinator Matt Nagy has praised his mental approach and quick learning of the system. The Giants have also signed several wide receivers for added depth but expect Nabers to be their No. 1 receiver in Week 1.
