When the Rams had the 12th pick in the NFL Draft, they surprised many by selecting quarterback Ty Simpson from Alabama instead of a wide receiver. They did, however, draft one wide receiver, CJ Daniels from the University of Miami, in the sixth round. Rams head coach Sean McVay praised Daniels’ maturity and presence, highlighting his potential to compete for a starting receiver position.
