Eric Ebron shared on the “Raw Room” podcast that playing with MVP Matthew Stafford on the Lions led to serious injuries, including dislocating four fingers due to Stafford’s powerful throws. Despite the struggles in his rookie year, Ebron held no grudges, noting that it was his responsibility to catch the ball. With help from Calvin Johnson, who taught him how to tape his fingers, Ebron improved significantly, going from 25 catches in his first season to 108 in his second and third years combined. Ebron played four seasons with Stafford before continuing his career with the Colts and Steelers.
