In Keith Law’s mid-season Top 50 prospect list, Cincinnati Reds infielder Edwin Arroyo has emerged as the team’s top prospect, ranked #23 overall after a stellar AAA season. Hitting .335 with 10 homers in 50 games, Arroyo has rebounded from previous injuries and poor performance. Despite being blocked at shortstop by All-Star Elly De La Cruz, Arroyo’s health and performance indicate he deserves a chance for a regular role in the future.
