Onsi Saleh has been promoted to president of basketball operations for the Atlanta Hawks and signed a long-term contract extension. He finished second in Executive of the Year voting after successfully retooling the roster, including trading Trae Young and signing Nickeil Alexander-Walker. Saleh, who joined the Hawks from the Golden State Warriors as assistant GM in 2024, now has full autonomy following Landry Fields’ firing. The Hawks denied the Philadelphia 76ers permission to interview him this offseason.
