According to Nick Farabaugh, the Pittsburgh Steelers have restructured tight end Pat Freiermuth’s contract to create additional cap space for the 2026 season. Freiermuth, who was due a base salary of $7.6 million and had already received a $1.5 million roster bonus, could allow the team to save up to $5.3 million through this restructure. Drafted in the second round of 2021, he is under contract until 2028, with a recent performance of 41 catches for 486 yards and four touchdowns in 2025.
