Byron Froese is expected to retire after Lokomotiv Yaroslavl’s second consecutive Gagarin Cup win, following a successful two-year stint in the KHL and a 12-year career in North America. The 35-year-old forward, who began his professional career in 2009, has played for various NHL teams, including the Chicago Blackhawks and Toronto Maple Leafs, but never won a championship in North America. His NHL totals stand at seven goals and 20 points in 141 games, complemented by a successful AHL career. If he retires, Froese leaves with two Gagarin Cup rings and a commendable legacy across two continents.
