The Rays have selected the contract of infielder Oliver Dunn from Triple-A Durham, filling the active roster spot vacated by Ben Williamson, who is on the 10-day injured list with a lower back strain. Dunn was acquired from the White Sox for lefty Joe Rock and has excelled at the minor league level with a .295/.393/.545 batting line this season. Additionally, veteran left-hander Steven Matz has been reinstated from the injured list to start today’s game. Dunn offers the Rays a versatile left-handed bat, capable of playing multiple infield positions.
