The Pittsburgh Pirates are set to promote outfielder Jhostynxon García from Triple-A Indianapolis, replacing injured Ryan O’Hearn in right field. García, 23, was acquired from the Red Sox in the offseason and has rebounded from a slow start to hit .324/.365/.632 in recent games, including a standout 5-for-5 performance. The Pirates, currently 24-23, have struggled recently, but García’s addition aims to bolster their lineup. His major league service time is limited, making him controllable through 2032.
