The Mets have selected the contract of right-hander Daniel Duarte, who has been performing well at Triple-A Syracuse with a 2.60 ERA over 17.1 innings. In a roster move, Joey Gerber was optioned to Triple-A, and lefty A.J. Minter was transferred to the 60-day injured list to make room. Duarte may provide emergency length in the bullpen due to the current rotation’s challenges, particularly after Clay Holmes‘ injury. Minter, recovering from lat surgery, is eligible for reinstatement next week following a new rehab assignment.
