The Texas Rangers have placed shortstop Corey Seager on the 10-day injured list due to lower back inflammation, retroactive to May 15. Seager missed the last two games with back spasms and underwent an MRI; he is currently on a 0-for-27 slump after his last hit on May 6. In a corresponding move, the Rangers recalled utility player Michael Helman. Team president Chris Young expects Seager to potentially return by May 25 for the homestand against the Houston Astros.
