OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) — The NBA will announce its MVP on Sunday, just before Shai Gilgeous-Alexander and the Oklahoma City Thunder face the San Antonio Spurs in the Western Conference finals. Gilgeous-Alexander is the favorite to win his second consecutive MVP, competing against Victor Wembanyama and Nikola Jokic. This marks the fifth straight season that non-U.S. players have dominated the MVP race. The last American winner was James Harden in 2018.
