The NFL has reinstated its Accelerator program, aimed at enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion, after canceling it last year amidst scrutiny from anti-DEI forces. This year’s program includes 34 coaches and executives, such as Mike McDaniel and Eric Bieniemy, providing networking and training opportunities for potential front office candidates. NFL general counsel Ted Ullyot emphasized the program’s openness to all individuals, regardless of race or sex. Despite attempts to mitigate criticism, the program’s return aims to support diverse candidates in securing coaching and managerial positions.
