Lega Serie A President Luigi De Siervo confirmed that the Supercoppa Italiana will not take place in Saudi Arabia for the 2026-27 season, despite previous contracts allowing it. Potential venues include the USA, Italy, or another international location. The tournament will feature a Final Four format, but complications arise as Inter, the Scudetto winner and Coppa Italia finalist, necessitates an additional team. The December 2025 edition was won by Napoli against Bologna.
