The Dolphins have released senior personnel executive Champ Kelly, who briefly served as interim General Manager after Chris Grier’s firing last season. Kelly’s NFL career spanned 19 seasons, beginning with the Broncos in 2007, and included roles with the Bears and Raiders. The Dolphins are set to hire Josh Scobey, previously of the Jaguars, as Kelly’s replacement. Scobey, also 46, was the director of college scouting for the Cardinals before joining Jacksonville.
