During the first round of the NFL Draft, the Steelers informed USC WR Makai Lemon they intended to select him with the No. 21 overall pick. However, the Eagles traded up to No. 20 and took Lemon, leaving the Steelers to choose Arizona State OT Max Iheanachor instead. Lemon, a former five-star recruit and 2025 Fred Biletnikoff Award winner, declared for the 2026 NFL Draft after a successful college career. Over three years, he recorded 137 receptions for 2,008 yards and 14 touchdowns, drawing comparisons to Lions WR Amon-Ra St. Brown.
