Wide receiver George Pickens has signed his franchise tag with the Dallas Cowboys, worth $27.3 million for one year, following the team’s decision not to pursue a long-term contract. This move, made just hours before the NFL draft, allows Pickens to be eligible for trade. In his first season with the Cowboys, he recorded 93 receptions for 1,429 yards and nine touchdowns, forming a potent duo with CeeDee Lamb. Pickens was acquired from the Pittsburgh Steelers last offseason.
