The Phillies have re-signed outfielder Pedro León to a minor league contract, returning him to Triple-A Lehigh Valley without a 40-man roster spot. León was released after the team selected infielder Felix Reyes due to his placement on the minor league injured list with a right hamstring strain. While León has a .283 batting average, he has struck out 19 times in 53 plate appearances this season. With a career Triple-A line of .253/.354/.443, León’s previous promise has been hindered by strikeout issues.
