Billy Donovan has resigned as head coach of the Chicago Bulls after six seasons, despite the team’s desire to keep him amid front office changes. Following the firing of executive vice president Arturas Karnisovas and general manager Marc Eversley, Donovan opted for a clean break to assist the Bulls in their search for new leadership. He met with ownership and was offered the chance to remain as coach or in a managerial role. Donovan aims to continue his coaching career and is expected to be a top candidate for other teams.
